Depression is often used as a way to protect you from further disappointment at your feelings of being overwhelmed and helpless. When you struggle to find hope in your future.

Depression and hopelessness are powerful emotions that can affect the way you see:

untrustworthy, then it is safe to assume that the rest of the world is a dangerous place.
