When you are in danger, your body produces stress chemicals. Which allow you to quickly sum up how you can survive this dangerous situation.

If the brain decides that the best chance of survival, is to fight. Then the stress chemicals prepare the body. Breathing increases and the heart beats faster to bring more oxygen to the brain. Muscles tense and senses become more aware of the surroundings.

And the stress chemicals prepare the body to fight.

▶️ increasing the heart rate which may cause tightness in the chest,

▶️ producing more sweat to cool the body,

▶️ breathing harder and faster to expel the extra oxygen. Which may cause shortness of breath, feelings of agitated.

3️⃣ Faulty Stress response.

Unfortunately, the body can learn to misinterpret safe situations as dangerous. When this happens, your brain sees a ‘shadow’ and misinterprets this as threat. This repeated ‘faulty’ stress response takes a toll on the body. 

4️⃣ Chronic stress responses can cause:
